Aid in Action Global is a dedicated non-profit focused on producing essential survival kits for communities in disaster-prone areas. We provide critical support to those unable to afford such crucial items. Our solution to vulnerabilities in natural disaster preparedness consists of approaching the problem on three different levels: creation, awareness, and outreach. Inspired by the growing problem of water insecurity, which kills 3.5 million people annually, we aim to provide water security to marginalized communities, which often are left vulnerable during natural disasters due to a lack of government intervention. 

 

For communities that are experiencing an increasing reliance on individual self-preservation and a decreasing reliance on flawed government and health infrastructure, our medically certified survival kits provide crucial support during climate change-related emergencies. As Aid in Action Global continues to grow, we aim to develop and explore new approaches to addressing other healthcare issues that arise from climate-related emergencies. Through student-developed research and expert-guided recommendations, we plan on bringing life-saving aid to students and their families.  Additionally, on a second level, we aim to raise awareness through the education of students on the inequalities and barriers that children face in accessing adequate healthcare during natural disasters. Reaching a diverse population of students, Aid in Action Global strongly works with the belief that awareness is the first step to change. Lastly, on a third level, through partnerships between different non-profit organizations, private corporations, and community leaders in disaster-prone areas, we transport and distribute the aid packages we have created, strengthening ties between nations and local communities.
